Children Born During The 2020 Pandemic – What Will Be Their New Normal?

Two of my nieces had children this year, one had a girl born in January and the other had a boy born in March. Therefore, these children were born during the 2020 pandemic. This raised some questions in my mind as to what will be considered normal to those born during this time.

What will these children tell their children and grandchildren about being born and growing up during this era?

Will physical distancing be the norm for them, just like technology is the norm for the previous generation?

Will they consider their world to be normal, even though there are not only global and economic issues to deal with but also diseases/plagues on a global scale?

Will on-line shopping be the only option because of physical distancing and will robots deliver purchases to their doors?

Will the Government issue computers and/ or smart phones to households that can’t afford one, so that they will be able to live normally (for example for on-line schooling and/ or banking) because of the pandemic?

Will the debt that was created during the pandemic be justifiable to these children, especially if they are still paying this debt after age 65?

Will their generation draw closer to God or will they believe less and less in God because of what they experienced during this era?

I don’t know the answers, but I believe these children will feel the same way some people who lived through the Great Depression and World Wars felt, helpless and unable to change history.
